Rhinoplasty can increase or decrease the size of the patient’s nose, shape its tip or the nasal dorsum and correct the deviations of the nasal septum. The aim of this technique is to obtain a nose of natural proportions.





Surgery

The intervention is performed under general or local anesthesia and can be done through the nostrils or through an incision in the columella that obviously will become unnoticeable.


After the surgery

The patient may stay in the hospital from 12 to 24 hours. Moreover, he will be encouraged to carry out a relative rest and to take the prescribed medication (analgesics, anti-inflammatories and antibiotics). After five or six days the splint should be removed and the patient will have to use a high intensity sunscreen the first month.
