Facet arthosis is caused by the wear and tear or the degeneration of the facet joint. This condition can cause nerve roots to become compressed at the lateral recess or at the foramen. Using minimally invasive approaches, high speed drilling is performed to remove the degenerated bone allowing for decompression.
Performed under general anaesthesia or epidural anaesthesia
