The Barnaclínic Sports Cardiology Unit consists of a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists at the highest level and international recognition (Group Cardioesport) dedicated to the diagnosis of heart disease by noninvasive testing, and treatment and prevention of heart rhythm disorders, including sudden death.
The team offers a comprehensive cardiac evaluation service, focusing on cardiac risk assessment for the safe practice of sports.
They can issue or renewal a cardiac aptitude certificate based on the following tests before starting a training program: Clinical interview and cardiological physical examination, 12-lead ECG, Stress test and Doppler echocardiography.
They also offer the option of following up athletes as their sports cardiologists through the tests previously mentioned.
Dr. Brugada and his team are also the sports cardiologists of the FCB (Football Club Barcelona) players.
